When it is time to change careers, it can be difficult trying to find the right one that suits you. Many people are having this same problem. Travel agents can have many duties or tasks when it comes to taking care of their clients. Agents assist clients in finding the perfect place to vacation, but it goes a little further than this. They have to get to know their clients so that they can better assist them in finding a destination that is perfect for them. Sometimes client may already have a destination, then it is left up to the travel agent to be knowledgeable about the specific are so that he/she can provide the client with information such as lodging areas and their prices, know about the amenities and other features of suggested places to stay, activities or places in the area that may be of interest to the client. They are also responsible for making traveling arrangements for the clients. Good travel agents will assist you every step of the way until you are satisfied with your decision.

Travel agents are only required to at least have a high school diploma or equivalent for a position. Although it may be helpful to take some courses in travel and tourism in order to put yourself in a better position to help clients and to receive higher raises and promotions. Travel agents can make up to $33,820 per year, maybe more and outlook for employment is decent and expected to stay the same for the next ten years.
