I didn’t understand the significance of hundreds of pages of words, nor did I care for the ‘knowledge’ they claimed to contain. But about a year ago (at age 22), I started reading religiously, not because I enjoyed it, but because it seemed the fastest way to learn, grow, and live richer. I started out hating it, I was slow, I didn’t understand everything I read, and I felt dumb. But soon I realized that the very feeling of being dumb was liberating. Allow me to explain…

Weekly Focus: Appreciation
Written by Ibrahim on May 5, 2008 – 5:09 pm -There is more hunger for love and appreciation in this world than for bread. -Mother Teresa
In Dale Carnegie’s How To Win Friends And Influence People, one of the most important qualities he mentioned in getting along with people is honest and sincere appreciation. Weekly Focus: An Introduction
Written by Ibrahim on April 21, 2008 – 6:25 pm -
So here’s my new idea. In order for us to better ourselves, to grow mentally, and to reach a greater potential we have to make conscious efforts to develop certain characteristics that would be richen our lives. Now we all want to be better people, we all want to develop into a person with greater potential and power than we have now. But without guidelines and ideas, we are retarding the potential for growth that we have. ,An idea, characteristic or aspect of life that we can consciously remember and work towards improving in our daily lives could really boost our potential for being something better than we are today.
