St. Joseph’s College was founded in 1916 as St. Joseph’s College for Women, with a campus in Brooklyn. Since that time it has grown considerably. In 1970 it became co-educational, and it has offered online courses for many years.

In order to be accepted for an online degree program, students must be employed full-time, and must demonstrate that they have a great deal of work experience in a supervisory capacity. In other words students must apply for acceptance, they are not just automatically enrolled upon payment of tuition.
St. Joseph’s College Online Degree and Type of Programs
St. Joseph’s College offers two online degree programs. It offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. The college also offers two certificate programs: a Certificate in Leadership and Supervision and a Certificate in Human Resources. Certificates can be earned by individuals with a BA or BS degree who do not want to commit to a Masters degree at the present time.
BS in Organizational Management
The Organizational Management program gives working adults the knowledge and skills they need to ensure that they can become effective managers, skilled in organizational behavior, and human resources.
EMBA in Business Administration
The Executive Master of Business Administration program is a 36-credit course. The course is completely online, but faculty, staff and academic advisers are available at all times to help the student. This course helps students develop the managerial skills and abilities needed for them to reach the top in their field. Students are given both theoretical and quantitative knowledge, and are expected to apply these to actual business situations. Business ethics and social responsibility are stressed.

Average Tuition Cost and Financial Aid Options at St. Joseph’s College Online
For the Organizational Management Program, the cost is $530 per credit. Students may transfer up to 96 credit hours from other, accredited institutons. For the EMBA, the cost is $625 per credit. Students can transfer up to 6 credit hours. Additional fees are added on to both degree programs. For a student taking 1-7 credits a semester, an additional $13 per credit is charged, for those taking 8-11 credits, $96 is charged per semester. For those taking 12 or more credits, the charge is $125 per semester. Additional technology fees are also charged. For individuals taking from 1 to 7 credits it is $40 per semester, for those taking 8 to 11 credits its is $75 per semester. Students may apply for financial aid from the college, or if they can demonstrate need, a request for reduction in fees may be granted.
