@Mojan I'm going to be honest with you. Your mile time is great, you probably won't need improvement there. But your push-ups and sit-ups are a little weak. I'm going to guess, because of your mile time, that you are a lean athlete, almost to the point of being too thin.

Your best bet would be to start the push-up and sit-up challenge, because those numbers should be higher.

Right now I'm at about 55-60 push-ups and probably 120 sit-ups. But I haven't been running much so I would imagine my mile time is in the 8 minute range.

You are in a good position, though, because push-ups and sit-ups are a lot easier to train than improving run times.

I am a 17 year old male and I am applying for an army rotc scholarship. My scores for the presidents fitness challenge are 31 sit-ups, 20 push-ups, and 6:44 mile. Are these scores good enough for a scholarship? I'm getting really nervous about this.

I'll admit - I fell off the wagon last week, too.

I went to do the test at the end of Week 3, and found that I am still not to the point where I can even do one normal push-up. That discouraged me a bit, and I didn't do any after that. I didn't consciously give up, I just got distracted by other stuff.

Time to start trying again!
