Spring Fitness Challenge (Week 2)

spring-fitness

In case you missed it, the ZCL staff and readers are coming together in a group fitness challenge ([intlink id="982" type="post"]Check it out here[/intlink]).  We started the 100 Push-ups and 200 Sit-ups programs (both), and today starts week 2 of the 8 week programs.  If you didn’t start it with us last week, don’t fret, just head over to the websites, get the program material, and jump in with us.  It’s going to be great.

I am off to a great start on the Push-ups challenge.  My initial test was 43, so I guess I’m almost half way there.  My initial sit-up test was 86.  I think that this program is going to really improve my fitness, and it’s going to be quite an accomplishment to be able to complete the challenge.

Stephanie, a ZCL writer and owner of PoorerThanYou.com, is tracking her progress and performance at her new blog StartingThisWeek.com.  Her commitment to the challenge is really motivating!  And I’m sure at the end she’s going to enjoy looking back and seeing just how much she improved over the weeks.  StartingThisWeek.com is a great blog idea, and I think it’s going to be a wild success.

So how was the first week?  How was your initial test?  What do you think about the workouts?  How’s the pain?  Leave some comments and update us on your progress.  You’ll be helping motivate everyone else.  Isn’t it nice to have a whole team of people, from all over the world, joining you in this challenge to improve your physical fitness?

Well I hope others are still on this train as well.

Yesterday I finished week 2 of the push-ups with 30 for my max all 3 days. I’ll have to bump that up this week.

Today I started the 200 sit-ups on week 2 (according to Sunday’s test result). My max was also 30 for the last set. None of this is too bad, but definitely gives me room to improve.

Don’t worry Alex, everyone I’ve talked to is still on board. I’m glad to hear things are going well for you. I’m really enjoying the challenge as well!
