120 Day Challenge: Washboard Abs
Written by Ibrahim on November 11, 2008 – 11:27 am -I’ve been very disciplined in my fitness lately. For 10 weeks now I’ve been working out 6 times a week without fail. But to make things more interesting I’ve decided to set an extreme challenge for myself, a goal that if acheived will feel like an ultimate victory. I’ve decided to modify my fitness and diet to lower my body fat percentage to between 8 and 10 percent, or visible abdominal muscles, as the pic above clearly defines (ladies, wipe the drool). So, yeah, I want a 6 pack.
I’m hoping to have a few bloggers take up this challenge as well, for a little extra motivation, so if you are interested let me know, and I’ll share links to all of your progress as well. Read more »

What’s all this Zen about?
Written by Ibrahim on September 24, 2008 – 9:21 am -I was recently approached by a student doing a paper on the Evolution of Zen. She asked some pretty important questions, and I thought it would be a good idea to post them along with the answers here. Maybe this will help us remember the importance and significance of everything we do in this life. This one gets a bit deep. Enjoy! Read more »

The Most Important Document - For Free!
Written by Ibrahim on September 23, 2008 – 10:36 am -If you only read one extracurricular document this semester, let it be the most important one. Let it be the document that has influenced millions if not billions of lives since its debut on Sept. 17, 1787. Let it be the document that has done more to influence your life than your parents, teachers, and mentors combined. It has given you the right to live your life the way you choose. It has given you the freedom to speak how you feel without being persecuted. It has allowed you to practice the religion of your choice, protect yourself with arms, vote, own land, and so much more. The Simple Life
Written by Ibrahim on September 22, 2008 – 9:21 am -I got back to Houston thursday, and I’ve gotta say, I’ve never seen anything quite this bad. Trees were uprooted and thrown around, fences had all but blown away, power was out at every other street light, and damage was everywhere. But there is one thing I noticed that I would have never expected. Read more »

Easy Humanitarian Ideas
Written by Ibrahim on September 8, 2008 – 11:17 am -I have a couple of ideas for some easy humanitarianism, but I’m not sure how to go about implementing them. Maybe you the readers can help.
Idea #1 Retail Card Swipe Message
Having worked in the retail industry, I’ve seen that people do in fact want to do good. They just don’t have the easy and reliable access to do so, and when people have to do more work to do good you will see an exponential decrease in the amount actually done. Read more »

Achieve Michael Phelps-like Success
Written by Ibrahim on September 3, 2008 – 12:42 pm -Michael Phelps is probably the most well known Olympian today. He holds 16 Olympic Medals, 8 of which he won recently in Beijing. His success, though, is no accident. He’s no freak of nature, nor is he genetically engineered to swim. Phelps attributes his success to his hard work, dedication, planning, and practicing. He practices 365 days a year, with 2-a-day practices 145 days a year. With this much hard work and dedication, it’s almost impossible to not do well. Read more »

30-Day Self Mastery Challenge
Written by Ibrahim on September 2, 2008 – 3:49 pm -I have decided to challenge myself for the next 30 days, I’ll explain why in a little bit, but first I’ll explain the challenge. This challenge is not just for me, but for anyone who wants to become the best version of themselves, and needed a reason to do so. My challenge is that we assess ourselves, strengths and weaknesses, in every aspect of our lives, or at least as many as we can focus on in 30 days. We take our assessments and decide a plan of action for improvement, and we work towards implementing habits that will make us our best possible selves. Read more »
