Above is a picture of my family and me after graduation. That’s right folks. I finished. I made it to the end of the road. And the feeling is fantastic. You don’t realize just how hard you worked until you reach the end and can really ponder the last few years of your life. It’s a fantastic accomplishment, hopefully one of many to come.
Don’t worry guys, I’m not leaving you. I plan on going to graduate school in fall of 2010, assuming I get in. That means that I still have that student mentality. Also I’m looking for more student bloggers, so if any of you is interested please [intlink id="182" type="page"]contact me[/intlink] so we can look into getting you started. Blogging is a great experience, and it gives you a level of accountability in school. You can’t be a D student and try telling others how to succeed, can you?
Also I’ll probably post less of my own writing. I’ve realized that there were times during the semester when I didn’t put my best foot forward. There were times when I only wrote for the sake of writing. Now I want every post to be gold, and I’m also putting time into writing a new book which I will feature at ZenCollegeLife.com. The title is still pending, but it looks like it’s going to be something like “ZCL’s Ultimate Guide to College Life,” or derivative of that. It should be great fun and a fantastic resource for students of all sorts.
So right now I’m working on the GRE for graduate school, my grad school application, and my teaching certificate so that I can teach for a year while I wait to hear back from grad schools. I graduated, but it still feels like I’m a student. I guess even after graduation we still have to work our butts off every day.
Stay tuned, Zen College Life has some great things coming up that you won’t want to miss. Congratulations Class of 2009, and have a great summer everyone.
