Work Hard, Play Hard: Things to do during the Winter Break
Written by Ibrahim on December 18, 2008 – 10:56 am -If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Here’s the deal. Most of us college students work really hard during the semester. Some of us work really, really hard. The problem is that we tend to get exhausted of the work and spend or breaks (summer, winter, etc.) doing absolutely nothing at all. I take that back. We spend the breaks making a new butt groove in our couch (or computer chair for you world of warcraft players). My suggestion to you is that if you work hard, I mean really hard, you have to play hard during the breaks, to even the universe. You don’t want to be the reason for an imbalanced universe, do you? Reward Yourself for Reaching Goals
Written by Ibrahim on December 16, 2008 – 9:27 am -Sometimes reaching a goal is a reward in itself. For example, I’ve been working out daily and monitoring my diet very carefully, in an effort to get less than 10% body fat, and I feel as though my 6 pack abdominals will be a great reward. But for other things, like meeting a goal at work, where a reward isn’t exactly apparent, it’s ok to reward yourself every once in a while. Read more »

Health Benefits of Green Tea
Written by Ibrahim on December 9, 2008 – 10:14 am -If you’ve been reading here for a while now you’ve probably heard me talking about my love for green tea. We were inseperable from the start. My fiance is a coffee drinker, so we are pretty much bitter enemies. But I always win out, because green tea is so much better for you than coffee. That’s right coffee lovers, Green Tea wins, you lose! Seriously though, there have been numerous cases where the evidence points in favor of drinking green tea on a regular basis. And I’m not the only one who thinks so. Azhar bin Ismail at The Learning Student recently compiled a great article on the benefits of green tea. I’ll share some of my favorite ones. Here is the link, check it out!
(I should be studying for my physiology and microbiology finals today, but I just love writing for ZCL!!!!) Read more »

Achieve Zen Like Calmness
Written by Ibrahim on December 8, 2008 – 10:30 am -It’s crunch time now. I’ve finished 2 classes already, but the difficult part has yet to come. Tomorrow I have 2 finals then Thursday I finish it off with the last one. I’m still not fully prepared, and yesterday I had a lot of distractions while studying, things I hadn’t planned or accounted for, which is leaving me feeling the pressure. If your life is anything like mine it sometimes follows Murphy Law… you know, “if anything can go wrong it will.”
To help stay calm for studying under pressure, I decided to do a little research and find what tends to be best for others, as well as share a couple things that have worked for me. I hope that they help you stay calm and get through the work. Good luck and finals and enjoy my Ways To Achieve Zen Like Calmness. Read more »

Why You Should Get a Website
Written by Ibrahim on December 4, 2008 – 11:44 am -Believe it or not, if you are able to read this you are savy enough to build a decent website. And with the whole world turning to the internet, there is no good reason for you not to have a personal website. It doesn’t have to be extravagant, but it should be clean and neat enough that when someone googles your name your website comes up first. If you plan on being a professional in any field, or even if you’re just looking for a little extra motivation (like I am with my 6 pack experiment), a personal website is a great way to keep family and friends updated, as well as gain credibility in your respective fields. How to be a Badass
Written by Ibrahim on December 2, 2008 – 12:50 pm -When it comes to doing pretty much anything in life, you’ll find that there are 3 types of people; the quitters or “dropouts”, the amateurs or “normies”, and the experts or “badasses.” If you are the type of person that tries something and finds that it is too hard, this article is for you. If you are the person that is pretty decent at many of the things you do, but you’re rarely the best at anything, this article is for you. If you are billy badass, but you can’t pass calculus, this article is for you. If you can read, this article is for you. Read more »

Written by Ibrahim on December 1, 2008 – 11:03 am -I’ve had my Eee Pc 1000 HA for a little over 2 weeks now. I’ve used it in class, on the go, for blogging, and even tested gaming. I’ve installed most if not all of the important software I need, and I’ve tested it all. Here’s the rundown.
