abs 120 Day Challenge: Washboard Abs

I’ve been very disciplined in my fitness lately.  For 10 weeks now I’ve been working out 6 times a week without fail.  But to make things more interesting I’ve decided to set an extreme challenge for myself, a goal that if acheived will feel like an ultimate victory.  I’ve decided to modify my fitness and diet to lower my body fat percentage to between 8 and 10 percent, or visible abdominal muscles, as the pic above clearly defines (ladies, wipe the drool).  So, yeah, I want a 6 pack.

I’m hoping to have a few bloggers take up this challenge as well, for a little extra motivation, so if you are interested let me know, and I’ll share links to all of your progress as well.

Before you get all crazy on me, allow me to explain that this is not about vanity.  I’m not the guy who likes to take his shirt off everywhere I go.  In fact the only time I do is when I swim or am at the beach etc.  This challenge is purely an extreme mental and physical goal.  There is no reward worth having if it didn’t take some good ole fashion hard work, right?

So here’s the deal.  I will take pictures every week to chart visible progress, I will record my dietary and supplement intake, and I will journal the mental and physical feelings throughout the journey.  Regardless of whether I can get washboard abs or not, I’m sure this experiment will be a wild success, and it will probably get me in the best shape of my life.

If you want in on this challenge leave a comment and let me know.  Like I said, I will share your progress with all of Zen College Life readers, as well as my own.

I love the idea of a 120 day challenge and how you are recording your progress by journaling, etc.

I set a challenge to increase my fitness levels about a month ago (I’ve been doing intense exercise 5 days a week). I did some initial fitness tests to get some baseline data, but I didn’t even think to take photos and journal about it! Great idea!

Thanks for the inspiring post and good luck :)

That is my current goal too. But I think I’m not making a progress at all. My belly still big but I’m working everyday on it. But I sleep very late at night and I already don’t hope for fast results. But my family noticed by arms getting huge and I’m inspired that ’twas visibly working.

The link didn’t work!!
Man, I hope you didn’t give up.

P.S.
From experience the best way to get a six pack is from running… a lot. You already have a six pack, it is just covered with fat. Burn calories to remove the fat a reveal that toned stomach you are looking for.
Also it is necessary to burn more calories than you consume. Even if on the healthiest diet, you have to watch calorie consumption closely.
