Summer Comes to an End

Now that we’ve taken care of all of the necessary details to ensure a successful start to our school year, we have a little time before class actually begins.  For me this ‘little time’ consists of 3 days (I start Monday).  I’ve taken care to ensure that most of my loose ends are tied, so this post is more for therapy than anything else.  I’m going to map out these next three days.

When school starts, and things become busy and intense we are going to think about the last few days of summer, wish we had them back, and assure ourselves that we would have squeezed every last drop of pleasure out of them.  This summer has been fantastic for me, and though I didn’t really do anything outrageous, I enjoyed each day and want to finish off strong.

Here are some of the things I plan on doing with the next 3 days:

Friday

  • Go to Jummah Prayer (the weekly ‘mass’ for Muslims)
  • Spend time with my beautiful fiancé
  • Enjoy the weather (when winter comes I’ll want warm memories)
  • Relax (since I won’t get to after Monday)

Saturday

  • Do a little Shopping (I still need a few things for school)
  • Do some writing for IbrahimHusain.com (I’ve really been neglecting it)
  • BBQ, Picnic, or Park activities (spend some time outside)
  • See a movie or another night activity with friends
  • Relax

Sunday

  • Have breakfast with the lovely fiancé
  • Take a long walk
  • Cook for Sunday Family Dinner (new tradition I started to keep my family together, since we’ve all moved out of parents house)
  • Have Family Dinner at Mom’s House
  • Prepare for Class Monday

It may seem boring, but I’m really going to enjoy these last few days, and once school comes I’ll be ready to dive deep and get to work.  What sort of pre-class rituals will you perform?
