This presidential election will be my first time to vote. I’m 23, and while I missed my first chance to vote for my president, I will not do so this election. I feel very passionately about the issues that affect USA today, and though this isn’t the place for me to tell you who to vote for, I do feel that it is necessary for everyone of age to vote. Here are the reasons why (and a link to register to vote). Read more »

Top 5 Productivity Tips Most People Know But Do Not Do
Written by Ibrahim on July 29, 2008 – 7:29 pm -By Donald Latumahina of LifeOptimizer.org
There are many best-seller books out there. By definition, best-seller books are books which are bought by many, many people. Unfortunately, buying doesn’t mean reading. From those many people who buy a book, only a fraction of them actually read the book. Read more »

Weekly Focus: Compliments and Criticisms
Written by Ibrahim on July 28, 2008 – 5:55 pm -This week I have chosen for us to focus on compliments and criticisms. This is a two fold focus. We will focus on the importance and significance of giving both compliments and criticisms.
Sometimes we may find ourselves becoming lazy or just not focused on the importance of our words. This is a terrible place to be in. If you find that you are not consciously giving compliments each day, and giving real thought to the type and amount of criticisms you give out daily, you could find yourself in a world of trouble. A lack of compliments can cause those closest to you to feel unimportant or unnoticed, while too much criticism will cause people to feel as though you are attacking them, or are disappointed in them. Visual Inspiration
Written by Ibrahim on July 23, 2008 – 2:06 pm -My beautiful fiance, over at The Unassociated Press shared this video, and once I saw it I knew I had to pass it along. It is truly beautiful, and I can only hope to one day be so blessed as to see, share, and experience the world in this way.

Weekly Focus: Take Control by Taking Responsibility
Written by Ibrahim on July 21, 2008 – 5:23 pm -That some achieve great success, is proof to all that others can achieve it as well. -Abraham Lincoln
My car broke down. I don’t feel well. The teacher hates me. It’s my mom’s fault. It’s not fun. The list goes on and on, but the issue is the same; Most of us are conditioned to make excuses so that we do not have to take responsibility for our actions. We blame anyone and anything that we can, in order to take the blame and pressure off of ourselves. It is not until we stop blaming other people and take full responsibility over our situation that we can start to assume our full potential and achieve major success.

Hobbies: Daily Vacations, Therapy, Sparkles for Your Smile, and so much more
Written by Ibrahim on July 17, 2008 – 5:02 pm -I am a firm believer in the importance of having hobbies. I diverge myself in so many hobbies that I don’t know what to do with myself. I build websites (professionally and for fun), blog (also professionally and for fun), ride a motorcycle, play computer games, play guitar, sing, work with electronics, play sports once in a while, and much, much more. I don’t know what I would do without a good hobby or two.

Unorthodox Things I’ve Learned in Calculus
Written by Ibrahim on July 16, 2008 – 5:16 pm -I just started Cal 1 and I’m noticing that I’m learning a lot of non math things while doing math problems. People change their regular behavior while doing mathematics. They step out of their comfort zone, they use problem solving skills, they understand limits. My observations are endless, but one thing is for sure: There is more than just calculus going on in that room.

Weekly Focus: Do Good Now
Written by Ibrahim on July 14, 2008 – 7:12 pm -A quick look at the Wikipedia page on Philanthropy got me thinking about doing for others. I thought it strange that the examples of philanthropy included people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett (billionaires), but neglected to list good doers like Mother Teresa. One might get the impression that in order to do philanthropic work, one must first be very successful of their own accord. This being far from the case, I thought that it was important to make it understandable that people of all walks of life, all social classes, all races, all religions, from every corner of the world has the ability to do good for humanity, to be a part of something greater than themselves, and to make a real difference.

Tech Tricks, Tips, and Downloads for Getting Things Done
Written by Ibrahim on July 10, 2008 – 8:19 pm -Lifehacker.com is one of my favorite sites in the world. Not a day goes by that I don’t check it, just to see what crazy new things people come up with for getting things done, hacking life, or just about anything else (almost always free). I’ve used it for tips on anything from my iphone, digital art tutorials, or just about anything else that could ever be done with a computer (or other electronic).

Do More This Summer
Written by Ibrahim on July 9, 2008 – 7:21 pm -Is it just me or did half of summer go by, and still we haven’t had any life changing experiences? What’s going on? I thought they automatically happen during summer, you just have to be there. It seem’s like I’m always ‘there’ and yet nothing…
So I decided to take matters into my own hands, and with this attached list you can too. I call this the list of social productivity. Do as many of these as you can, and I’m sure the second half of summer will be very eventful, to say the least.
