earthday Earthday 2008

In case you hadn’t heard, today is Earthday. Many of the articles about Earthday that you read are going to be talkin about ways to save earth, promote a healthy environment, and many other things along those lines. Since I have already published an article about Easy Ways to Help the Environment today I am going to recommend something a little different.

Today I advise you to go outside. Take a walk. Breath the fresh air. Observe the plant life around you. Take an hour or so and just let it all sink in. This is it. This is your world. Everything you see, hear, smell, touch etc. is your environment. We don’t get to experience it often enough, and it is a wonderful creation. The beauty of a flower, the wisdom of a large old tree, the amazing feeling of rays of sunshine kissing your skin. These are the things we miss during our hustle and bustle busy days. Today give our planet earth a little of your time. The peace it will offer you is unlike anything else. And it will give you the motivation to do your part in protecting the environment for those to come after us.

So take a break, go for a walk, play at the park, do whatever you enjoy. Just do it outside and say hello to Mother Earth today. You’ll be glad you took a moment to celebrate Earth Day.
